Hillari is a born and raised Alaska girl who spent two years in Puerto Rico, two years in Maine, and is now using her talents in Massachusetts. She attends a local college and is pursuing a degree in Engineering.
Hillari has been fishing since she could walk. She grew up fishing and camping with her father and brother in South Central Alaska. She started fly fishing for salmon and trout when she was 19 and has been hooked ever since. She started tying flies at 22 and now ties almost daily.
She just started hunting the last couple of years and it has become an obsession. She enjoys everything from squirrel to deer hunting. Last year she shot her first two white tail ever. She enjoys all aspects of hunting, including skinning and processing her kills! She spends a lot of time tanning hides, primarily to use them for more fly tying materials.
Mike was born and raised in Newburyport, MA which sits along the Merrimack River and the Atlantic Ocean. He has been fishing since he was physically able to hold a rod and reel, and has been an avid hunter for the past 14 years. Waterfowl and pheasant were his gateway into hunting with has progressed into a full blown obsession hunting deer with bow and arrow. He’s a die-hard sportsman and can be found on the water or in the woods most days before/after work.
He’s been tying flies for several years and enjoys tying everything from #16 soft hackles to 12/0 herring patterns for slob bass. He has a broad range of fishing experience that ranges from tiny New Hampshire native Brook Trout to massive sharks and tuna. He focuses on fishing for striped bass from May-July around the Merrimack River and down to Cape Cod.
